How to keep fit
Exercise can be defined as a physical activity that is done in order to become stronger and healthier. It can also be defined as something that is done or practiced to develop a particular skill.
We are of course looking at this from the health point of view but generally all exercise needs some sort of training to develop a skill to exercise. This skill has many sides to it. Of course there is the physical skill that is needed to do the actual physical activity. Running is considered to be something everybody can do but when you dig into it deeper there also is skill that needs to be developed. Swimming naturally needs a skill to be developed before you can use swimming to develop your physique. Same applies to practically any exercise you can think of. You need knowledge and training,
There is also another aspect to exercise. You can learn how to do a particular exercise but the starting point should be the question about why you do what you do. We often take for granted the first question: Why do you exercise? This question is usually answered with a variation of the slogan: Use it or lose it! The next question is: How should we exercise? This question has a much broader range of answers. Somebody will say that we should run to build our aerobic condition. Other will say that we should lift weights to increase our strength.

The answer to this will depend a lot on what your goals are. In this section we try to explain the core concepts of what different types of training methods there are and how they affect. We will try to give you a broad range of alternatives to choose from but will also tell what are the best practices in our opinion.
